I'm looking to start fresh...I have two small children who aren't in school yet and want to move to Colorado...for no reason in particular.

Any ideas for a nice, affordable, safe suburb of Denver to move too?

Aurora, Colorado is a small suburb just right on the outskirt of the city. Very affordable houses :]

I live in Aurora, which a suburb of Denver. My kids have all gone to Aurora Public Schools. I think they're good schools. Cherry Creek Schools is also in parts of Aurora. Some think they are a better school district. You can find more reasonably priced housing in the APS district. Good neighborhoods if you stay south of Alameda. I live 2 miles South and all the neighbors know each other. We have block parties, etc. Close enough to Denver for work, hospitals, recreation etc.
Good Luck!!!

Don't go to Aurora, it might be affordable but it's not very safe. Stick with Littleton, Lakewood, Parker (kind of far from Denver about 30 min.) or Highlands Ranch (very nice, more expensive). Those are safe areas with nice neighborhoods and good schools. If I had to pick one, I'd go with Littleton!

There are a number of great neighborhoods in Denver, but I am not as familiar with all the burbs. Here is a link to a site that has a best of Denver neighborhoods...

Most all of the Denver area is pretty good, the more affordable areas are north and east of downtown, west and south are nicer of course but more expensive. Denver itself is very expensive. Good Luck
