I served on a ship while in the US Navy with a guy who was a freshman that day and the storys are crazy. He was not in the main part but still, also he told me how Rachel Scott was not a "perfect little cathloic" She was actually rude, smoked and not perfect if you know what I mean.

I am not saying she deserved to be killed. I was just telling how the media takes on the "perfect pretty white girl"

Well, it is not a lie, he is my friend and does a Yearbook mean anything at all? Maybe not. Do I need to do a DNA test at all. I will give you a name if you want and if you were there you would know then.

Yes, my husband was a senior at the time and was at the school that day. My sister in law was very good friends with Rachel Scott, and I'm sure she'd be upset if she saw what you wrote about her.

Of course I see your point, not everyone is perfect or is the epitome of the image that is portrayed by media or even themselves. But also of course this should absolutely have nothing to do with someone's death.

Telling you from an insiders prospective, there are a million things that the media has gotten wrong about the shootings. The "Trenchcoat Mafia" for one thing was a fabrication made up by the media, just going off of what the popular kids called the "weird" kids in passing to make fun of them. The media couldn't even get the town right, as the cool is technically in unincorporated Jefferson County, not Littleton, which is the mailing address. I could go on and on.

What happened that day seems to be forgotten, as people still think its cool and hilarious to bring up 4/20 as a joke about pot. The event is still painful to people from Colorado even if the rest of the world doesn't care. Its good to bring the topic up to talk about it, and media misconceptions are definitely a good starting point. Whats irrelevant is the character of the people who've died. Let's let them rest in peace.

Rachel went to a Christian church, she was not Catholic. You have NO idea what you are talking about. Do you believe anything people tell you? Just because this guy said that about her, doesn't make it true. She was NOT a rude girl!!! And name ONE person who IS perfect! They don't exist! So you have nothing to base you claims on except for some kid who wanted a connection to a poor girl who lost her life.

I know a retired officer who investigated the scene. I took a forensic course as an undergraduate, where he was the instructor. We viewed actual footage (w/o sound) of the event. On that day, there were no perfect people... just those trying to escape alive.

I was in Denver at a training class for the company I worked for when it happened. Very sad-a lot of employees left becuase their children were students at Columbine.

As for the rest of your comments, can't say I'm going to dwell on it. It was a very sad day, what we have learned from it and how to prevent it happening again is what matters.

what is your point? I do know people who were involved in the Columbine shooting and I find it very insensitive to talk negatively about anybody who is innocently killed. especially when it could be a lie.

Think before you post.
