What town is good to stop for the night along the route from Albq to Colo. Springs? Looking for budget but not bleak. October is expected time of trip.

Why do you want to stop? It's a fairly short drive right up the freeway. If you want to just tour the sites, stop at Santa Fe or Taos. Or, drive a bit off the freeway at Walsenburg and go over and stay at the Cuchara area. It's about 45 minutes off the road but quite pretty. If you want to break it up about half way, then Trinidad or Pueblo. But you really won't need to stop.

it may take you lots longer than you imagine (as shown by technique of your journey on I80) requiring more suitable inn nights. How about food on the line? gas is a few distance from the in reality rate of driving. in case you come back upon a lot climate also use so a lot more suitable gas. Vegas is a few distance out of how, meaning more suitable gas funds, more suitable time en route, and likely more suitable inn nights. I encountered freezing rain in NM on 40 in JUNE, so in February you may discover some there, too. it will be more good value to emphasise. besides the undeniable fact that it truly is now unlikely.
