What can I do with my NYC Subway tokens? Are they worth anything?

I'm travelling to the USA next year, from around 28/02/08 to about 18/03/08 and visiting the following cities, in order; Seattle, San Francisco & Las Vegas. Looking to spend about 4-5 days each place, extra in Seattle for jetlag recovery.

I was meant to go with a boyfriend, who lives in the USA, but he wants to 'take a break' but as I've already got rostered time off at work and have paid for my airfares, I'm obviously committed to go. Tell the truth, while I'm upset about the boyfriend, I'm also stoked to go on holidays. :)

I could go via Contiki tours but they only have a New Years Event for Vegas which doesn't suit me, so how would I go about finding a travel companion/s to come with me to one or two of the places, or all even? I'd be happy to fiddle with dates and pay the cost of date changes but can't afford to cancel it.. and I'm so looking forward to the holiday..lol

I did not get a transportation ticket. So I am thinking about either seeing launch from KSC visitor center or seeing it from Space View Park Titusville.
But I don't know how early I should be in The Space View Park to get a parking spot (and a good spot to see launch as well).

If I have to get there way too early, I may rather spend time in KSC visitor center. Otherwise, I may try Space View Park.

Any experience? any advice?

We are thinking about visiting New York City perhaps sometime in January, but we would love to be there when it is snowing. For those of you who live in New York, do you all get a lot of snow? My travel dates are very flexible, so if there is a particular time when you "usually" have snow (I know nobody can actually guarantee snow), please let me know. (Hubby is turning 49 in December and has never seen snow in his life). We really need to escape the heat of Florida for a week or so. Thanks

I wanna make a trip crossing some various states.
Most of the time I got a place to stay.
But not in Nevada & north Arizona.
Because it will be for one night on each spot, I was wandering ..
can't you sleep out in your car ?
If so, what's the best place to do it in ?
Or will it be easier to use a campsite ?

I want to fly as far as possible. Can anyone give me any ideas of some great vacations--we LOVE ocean and pristine beaches-Florida is a cheap flight for us and too close to use for these nonlimiting tickets--any ideas about California? when is the best time to go, road trip? land where? best beaches to visit and should think about may be cruise on that side of the us? Ideas please because I need to plan by January and I am stagnated and cannot find enough info on California as to their beaches and do we rent a car and drive up the coast? Also, when is their summer because I dislike cold weather - I live in it 10 out of 12 months where I live. Thank you to everyone that can help me with some insight......all ideas will be considered....other than giving the tickets up because they are nontransferable and could only be used on the "continent" of the US. I live in Los Angeles. Needless to say, things are not good right now. I'm in the middle of finishing up a Single Subject teaching credential, and my experiences in LAUSD are leaving me feeling pretty pessimistic. Although I was born and raised in the south bay, I feel it's time to move. Things just suck here. I would really like to stay in CA b/c I love the beach, but I don't know where would be a good place to go. The desert is out of the question, and I don't want more than 4 months of ice, so where can I go that is somewhat less expensive, allows me some warm months, and will make me feel safe and comfortable in my work environment (in a school)? Anything will help. Thanks.
