It depends on how old they are. The last token with the pentagon design won't be worth as much as the token with the Y in the middle. There are many transit fansites where people are looking for antique tokens.

I foolishly saved about 400 tokens as I once read they will be valuable. Now I am stuck with them The MTA stopped redeeming them long ago. I also spent thousands on stamp collecting; being told in 20 years a sheet of 50 mint stamps would be worth a small fortune.

I paid $100.00 for a small token with a Y in the middle.
I'm always looking for more.

Only in the NYC subway system or one might make a nice wedge under a wobbly table leg.

Bourne's suggestion of Ebay was great.
But I'm pretty sure you can turn them in at the MTA's office in Brooklyn and receive their cash value back.

It depends how many you have. 10 tokens will get you a large roast beef and swiss with avocado, a bag of chips of your choice and a large soft drink at any participating Subway restaurant.
