It all depends on your taste, but older parts of Glendale aren't as safe, just like South Scottsdale. To Some Phoenician's Scottsdale is known as Snobsdale because of all the Richy snooty people that live there. But Census showed that there are more millionaires in Glendale, but they are probably the laid back type that would rather own a big truck and R.V. then a BMW.

Scottsdale is known for a better night life, and Glendale is a more family oriented place.

First off, Glendale and Scottsdale are NOT near eachother.

Secondly, it all depends on what part of glendale and scottsdale you are talking about.

Northern glendale is nice, near the 101 area.

North Scottsdale is also very nice..

Glendale is awful. High crime depending on the area. I would say stay above Camelback, but not a great choice. Scottsdale both North and South are great to live in and have great parks and recreation. Anything east is better for your commute since most need to drive to the west. Sun is never in your eyes..

West valley demographics are just so different.

I grew up in North Glendale & then I moved to North Scottsdale as an adult.

They both have their bad areas, their prestigious areas. I will say Scottsdale has better shopping & dining/nightlife tho.

i prefer them both but i do like Glendale because they have more diversity and they have better food if you're Mexican which i am a part of they also offer more laid back things and the shopping seems to be cheaper scottsdale is a little more snoty and every time i go there i leave mad because people seem to have there head up there *** but they do offer great shopping if you have the money and restaurants

i'm 17 and in basic terms moved from Tempe, AZ the place ASU is, to Gilbert in a 2 tale domicile. i discover it slightly greater boring than Tempe. yet it relatively is using the fact i'm used to nightlife and school young ones around. yet i've got observed that is totally kin orientated around here. Even in my block there's some households with toddler to complication-loose age young ones playing outdoors or at our community park. that is in the Pecos/Val Vista component of Gilbert. There are some homes up for hire too.
