I am wondering what the normal starting salaries are for accounting jobs in the Las Vegas Hotels. There are a lot available according to the hotels career pages, but no salaries are listed. I am looking for mid-career A/R, Billing, A/P. I am not at Controller or CFO levels so those won't help. Anyone know what they pay???

My husband just got a job working right outside New Orleans, but I really don't want to live that close to the area. Anybody have any good locations that would be drivable for him, but still far enough away from the actual city? We were looking at Gonzales but I haven't really heard any great things about that area. Any help is definitely appreciated.

I've been to Minneapolis. For a big city, it was very nice - compared to other big cities like Chicago or St. Louis. It is thought for someone I know to move there. Should they and is nice to live in?

Why do most people think negative about Detroit, even when they've never stepped foot in the city? Everything associated with Detroit people instantly frown up. Yeah, Detroit has been on the top of a lot of negative list but that's because that's what the media want's to tell you but if you came to the city yourself you would see that Detroiters are good people and we're certainly a safer city than Vegas.

It's difficult to live in a city like New York and have that kind of 'life balance' I try to maintain. Cities like this urge you to be decadent, debaucherous, to consume above your means, in all excess, as so many autonomies running around, how can one ever take a moment 'away from it all' without actually leaving? Does anybody have any tips for an urban dweller cut off from Nature, Silence, Light and Reflection?

I do find that New York's population is generally very healthy, eat well , fresh, and many organically; much exercise (at the very least all the walking, climbing stairs, etc).. Even little things, like I heard the Japanese alignin their beds north to south to affect how they sleep and wake up in the morning..
So...
Anybody have any tips for healthy living in New York?

I will be going to WDW in July for my first time of couse I have planned & saved for a long time, it's a big deal to me since I don't live close to Florida. But someone just told me that she has already been there for 3 times but she didn't like it at all!!!! She said she doesn't like Disneyland or Disney World that kind of stuffs it's boring. Of course I was wondering why would she go there for 3 times if she really hates it that much.... so I asked her if she entered all 4 parks but she said she's only been to Magic Kingdom and that was boring enough for her already!!! But then later on she added she was also been to Epcot but nothing to do it was very boring as well.
I feel kind of down after listened to what she said, do you think she was really telling me the true or lying about something? For your record, she couldn't even afford going to Las Vegas for we are living in Los Angeles. I'm wondering why she need to tell me all that if she was really lying about something?

It will just be my husband and myself. We don't mind walking, we'll be traveling in the fall, we aren't big drinkers or big gamblers although we will do a little bit! We like historical & scientific points of interest. We are traveling from Ohio. Flying is not out of the question but we preffer to drive.

Me and a roommate planning on moving to the city. Our chance of being in Manhattan is low because of cost of living. Safety wise, which is better Brooklyn, queens, or staten island (not moving to the bronx)

My family and I are going to the cape for about 4 days in July. We are staying in Hyannis and need a good priced hotel that allows pets and is not exspensive. About 300 dollars or less. We are going to stay for 3 nights. Thanks!

Me and my husband (and two preschoolers) are thinking of moving to PA from Miami Beach, FL. We have no idea which parts are good/bad. This is what we are looking for: Good schools, affordable housing (home for 200k or less w/ 3 bedrooms), quiet neighborhood but close to city. We dont want a collegetown, we arent into clubs or nightlife. We mainly want a nice, quiet, scenic place to live with friendly people and good schools. I want a change from the busy lifestyle here in Miami but am not looking for a place where Walmart is the "hot spot". Please tell me which cities to look into as well as typical day in that city (if youre from there) We are in mid 20's. Thanks so much.

I have a vacation in September, so I thought it'd be perfect to visit New York and Washington at that time of the year, instead of backpacking Europe. Is it hard to backpack the USA?
