It will just be my husband and myself. We don't mind walking, we'll be traveling in the fall, we aren't big drinkers or big gamblers although we will do a little bit! We like historical & scientific points of interest. We are traveling from Ohio. Flying is not out of the question but we preffer to drive.

If u'r really into riding horses, you could go on an over night ride. They often have horses you can rent (But nothing beats ur own horse!) The Big South Fork Ride is a good one. Also there is the Jerico Walls Parl. That's a very good ride. Both of these are in TN.

Lots of things to do in the Ohio area. Check out this web site and you will be suprised at the number of things available. I personally like the lake front cabins and some of the hiking trails.

If you are looking for somewhere that is secluded and romantic, try Mexico Beach in the panhandle of florida. It is a BEAUTIFUL, secluded area with no tourists. They have one hotel. The beach is always empty and the locals are nice. On top of that it is undiscovered and cheap. You can rent a house for a week for around $1000. A nice house. Good luck:)

Not too far of a drive for you. And it is very pretty in the fall, Berkley Springs WV. I think there are a couple of resorts with spas, golf, hiking and maybe some slots.
