My fiance and I are wanting to take a very little trip away from home for 2 days. I am wondering if ya'll have any ideas. We live in Greenville, SC, and are wanting to go somewhere by driving. We just need to get away from home for a bit. We are looking for somewhere small that has some attractions like outdoorsy stuff and maybe a lil shopping. If we go to ur destination, u get best answer. Oh, an it has to be somewhere near, not too far, basically northern Geirgia, and wester SC, and basically anywhere in SC, some parts of Tenn. is ok too. THank u.

My fiance wants to stay at the Stratosphere and I want to stay at the Monte Carlo. We would be paying about $20 a night more for where I want to stay.
Which one is better. The location of the Monte Carlo looks better to me for all the action.

If you do, that's so cool, because I really want to go there. The farthest I've ever been, is San Diego! I was so close to Hollywood!
I live in New England where nothing ever happens here.

Most hotels add at least $10 per extra person beyond 2 per night. What happens if I make the reservation under the assumption that only 2 people will be staying, when I actually plan on having 4 people in one room. Will the Hotel fine me if I get caught, or will they simply add the extra fee for each additional guest to my bill?

I am looking at staying at the Territorial Inn and taking advantage of one of their spa packages. I am what you might call a nervous traveler, afraid that once I arrive the accomadations won't meet my standards. If you have stayed there before can you please give me your opinion.

I would also be interested in opinions of other hotels in the Santa Fe area at a rate of around $100 / night or less (double occupancy)

It would about double my annual salary, but I have never been to AZ before and I am kinda skeptic about the change. At the same time it also sounds exciting though.

I visited this beautiful city months before Katrina hit. It was a dream to go there on a small vacation! I am so glad I saw it before the storm hit. Honestly, I don't have a desire to go back until I KNOW the devistation is over! What's it like now a year and a half later?

I have to stay at the Flamingo hotel for a wedding and am trying to decide if it's worth it for @ $54/night to upgrade to a Go Room. If anybody has stayed at either a regular or a Go room, I'd like to hear your opinion.

We may be transferred there but we don't have to. I'm just worried about crime, high schools and weather but I'll bet there's alot more to consider.

I may be visiting North Charleston or Charleston, South Carolina with my family, we live in New Jersey and hope to relocate to South Carolina or just visit for now... not sure what yet but if we did move, it would be several years probably. Anyway, how is South Carolina in general and the cities of North Charleston and Charleston for a family? We don't like the ice and snow too much nor humidity but well... still would like any advice and info on South Carolina.

Liz
