I just moved into town, and don't want to pay $100 or more to get into some random bar on New Year's Eve. Is there something cool, fun and cheap out there in Manhattan or Brooklyn for a couple of single 20-something women? Any websites or bar listings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hey other San Diegans, as you know we do get a little snow in our great city, but its only in our mountain areas like Julian or Mount Laguna, any one know if there is snow up there now? also does anyone know a website i can register with everytime there is snow up in them thar hills? Any help would be great, i usually end up calling a bed & breakfast and asking them if there is snow but id like a web site where i can see for myself or something, any help would be great.

I want to move. I have come to the realization that I can never make it as a southern girl, because I'm too much a Midwestern/Northern kind of person. I don't rule out living in the North again, but I'm curious about the West, because I've never been out there..... I need some place that isn't too expensive, like NY and CA are definitely out of the picture! I would like some place with stuff to do, as I'm young and want to go out and have fun. I'm looking for a city/big city type place and I would like warmer weather than what you get up north. I do like FL, but are there a lot of dangers weather wise to live there? Your advice and input is greatly appreciated!
