I'm relocating to L.A. in January of 2008 to change colleges. I was wondering if anyone here relocated to L.A. and if they could tell me what I need to be prepared for.

Thanks

That all depends what part you are going. The general rule of thumb for LA. is that your rent should be about 40% of your monthly incoome. Also consider where you are moving to. If you don't konw anything about LA or how far things are here is a website that give real time traffic reports 24/7 for all of LA.and Orange County. check it out and it will give you an idea how long it will take you to go places.
