I want to move. I have come to the realization that I can never make it as a southern girl, because I'm too much a Midwestern/Northern kind of person. I don't rule out living in the North again, but I'm curious about the West, because I've never been out there..... I need some place that isn't too expensive, like NY and CA are definitely out of the picture! I would like some place with stuff to do, as I'm young and want to go out and have fun. I'm looking for a city/big city type place and I would like warmer weather than what you get up north. I do like FL, but are there a lot of dangers weather wise to live there? Your advice and input is greatly appreciated!

I live in Western PA, north of Pittsburgh, and I love it. Pennsylvania has a great mix of rural, urban and suburban areas and small towns. There are tons of historic and cultural things to do as well as outdoor activities. You're within a day's drive of NYC, DC, Baltimore, Chicago, Niagra Falls, and tons of other places. And the cost of living is reasonable. Plus, if you have kids, there are a lot of good schools. I would highly recommend small town Western PA living in places like Butler, Ellwood City, Indiana, Zelienople, Slippery Rock, Grove City, Mercer,....

Kansas isn't too bad but it's really hot in the summer and usually really cold in the winter. Plus the wind blows 99% of the time.
