I would like to visit New York this coming March, but I havent traveled much. Id like to stay for 1-2 weeks, but I really dont plan on buying much. Just essencials, perhaps a few little fun things. I dont really plan on any expensive attractions either. Mostly just sight-seeing. And I dont need expensive food. Just essencials. And Im not horribly picky.

So with everything (hotel, estimate on food and taxi services, etc...) what could I expect to spend?

I'm writing a story that takes place in New York City. ...Only I've never been there. I need to know how the subway system works. Do a lot of children use it to get to school? How much do tickets cost? Do you buy a season pass type thing or do you have to buy a new ticket each time you use it? Are the subway stations usually large? Are they noisy? All information is appreciated. Thanks!

We're looking for a classy place with good service, breakfast and/or kitchen options, and friendly staff that could help us plan some activities once we get bored of the beach. Thanks a lot!

I'm looking for the name of a small city in the United States that was once mentioned in a TV listings travel feature page. It was supposedly a great "christmas town", and had some popular toy store that was a must see if visited. I know these descriptions are very vague but I don't remember the name of city and am hoping that someone may know which city I'm describing. I do remember that the name of the city was a bit lengthy as well....If anyone can list some christmasy towns in the states that they're aware of maybe it'll ring a bell.

Does it take a long time? Is it expensive? The airport's website says it's possible but I want to know from someone who has done it, whether or not it's practical, and if I should instead just pay the extra $30 and fly into Oakland.

Every retrospective on Las Vegas I have seen has someone talking about the importance of booking Sinatra (and other acts well) because they "brought in the high rollers." How did that work. Maybe I have seen to many movies where they are always comping tickets, but I thought those shows were free. Was it the ticket price that winnowed out the average Joe, and attracted people with money. Or did Frank Sinatra, and others have a "high roller following'?

HEEEEELP!, some friends and I are going to las vegas this weekend and due to some last minute emergency I don't have a lot for spending. I'll only have like 300 dlls and since the trip and hotel is already paid I cannot cancel. We'll be staying friday night, saturday, and leave on sunday (late afternoon).

We also have tickets for some fight on saturday, what should I pack since I don't know how chilly it'll get. I live in southern california. Are there any male cheap male stripper shows ??
