Around september new yorkers starts to wear their heavier fall jackets, some might go all the way and get out their big feather filled down "bubble" jackets. It starts to get Wintery around early to late october. It may vary, but its definitely cold by novemeber.


It does depends on what you think cold is, but i dont think anyone agrues that it isnt freezing around november\december in new york.

When the christmas trees are out on the street. Sometimes the sellers will have seasonal music playing and it feels like winter !!

depends on what you think is wintery. Snow? maybe December, usually january.

Cold...that depends on where you are coming from and what you think is cold.
