is there any rides he will be able to go on? If we wish to ride can one person wait with child and then be able to go to front of line when spouse returns? Are there any attractions or parks that will be better for this age group?

If your son's up to it, I'm sure he'll be able to go on some of the rides. Probably rides like Peter Pan's Flight, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, "It's a Small World," etc. And don't worry - if there's a ride your son's too young to go on one parent may ride while the other stays with the child, and then you two will switch. You'll only have to wait in line once. The parent and child will likely just wait in the loading area so the other parent is first on the next run.

Here, this website is very helpful for planning a Walt Disney World vacation, and there's an huge section about taking infants and toddlers - information and tips from people who've experienced Walt Disney World with young children...

Hope I could help! Have a great vacation!

There will be plenty of things for him to do and ride. Many rides are very mild. Others that don't allow children that small have a "child-swap area". You wait in line together (the child swap is near the front of the line) when you get to the ride one parent goes while the other waits with the child, then you "swap" and the other parent gets to go on the ride.

I would definitely do the Magic Kingdom. I have two kids under 2 and they both love the park. You can take small kids on most of the rides with you, with the exception of Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Space Mountain. You can probably even do the teacups, just don't spin your cup. You know your child best... if you think he may be afraid of dark rides, take a small flashlight or glow stick with you for him to hold on the darker rides like Pirates of the Carribean and Haunted Mansion.

Rides I would definitely make time for: It's a small world, Winnie the Pooh, and the Golden Carousel. My little ones also love the parades, because there is a lot of music. The spectromagic parade, at night, seemed to fascinate them. Just catch the earlier parade... the later one is probably too late for smaller kids.

Have fun on your vacation!

There are a few with which he can ride with either parent & or both. However, for the most part the child should be quite a bit older. Not only will he not even remember any of it, he can't even appreciate what your trying to do for him. I took my youngest daughter when she was about 4 yrs. old, and she doesn't remember much of it. I worked out there last year from June to August, so I can speak about what is accesible to him. There are a lot of attractions he can enter, but I'd start with toon town behind tomorrowland. Then it's a small world. I was in Tomorrowland, but it is Disney's rule that all Cast Members learn as much about all of it as possible to help their guests. Cast Member refers to any Disney Employee!

He most likely will not be able to ride the rides but the do have baby swap where one parent holds the baby while the other rides and you switch there so you do not have to wait in line again.

You can take advantage of Disney's swap passes, only available on the most popular rides... like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Dinosaur, Everst, etc... Just ask a Cast Member at the front entrance to the ride if they have a swap pass. Then one of you can ride while the other waits with your son. Then your spouse meets you at the exit and they swap with you to get right on the ride.

There are a few rides you should be able to take him on. Its a Small World or any of the Fantasyland Rides should be fine.

I took my 16 months baby this past August and he loved it. The best thing to do is to bring your own stroller it is much easier than going on the lines to rent them.

The best park for your baby will be MGM and Magic Kingdom. They all have baby swap area and your baby should be able to enjoy most of the kiddie rides, except the tea cups and other that spin.

Have fun!!!

i second katlyn's advice of checking out allears, very helpful site. as others said, fantasy land rides should be fine, as well as shows like country bear jamboree or little mermaid.
