I am moving there from california and I was just wondering what to expect. Also which place is better fulton couny or marietta county? how far is each from atlanta?

Marietta isnt a county, its a city in Cobb County. Fulton has the city of Atlanta and then upper class cities like Sandy Springs and Roswell.
Moving from Cali will be a culture shock to you. I moved from Atlanta to Vegas and it took me a while to adjust. We still have the basic Christian values here that control a lot of the daily life. No alcohol sales in stores after 11pm and not a all on Sunday. Bars close at 2am.
There is a lot to do for someone in your age range. Im 27 and I did a lot of partying here when I was 21. There are lots of clubs in Buckhead (uptown Atlanta) and then through out the metro area. Football is HUGE during the fall and the Falcons are a big deal here as well.
The thing I noticed about the west vs east is that is more socially acceptable to be a single mother in the west. Racial issues are big here, sad to say but they are, and you dont see that much out west.
If I had to pick between the two, Id say Cobb County/City of Marietta vs Fulton County depending on what area you were looking at.

Hei, I recommend Marietta, it is an hour journey from the main Airport. Very nice place with peace and love.
Five points is the place with all people. I love Atlanta city and Marta.
