Been looking for a nice state to relocate out of hurricane alley (West Palm Bch Fla). Thinking about Dallas or Austin TX. I hear GA is a great place to live too. I've been watching the homes go up and up and up as I'm steadily trying to convince my hubby to jump on the bandwagon before it's too late. Still some convincing to do.

Any natives out there? Any recommendations as to nice family oriented areas outside of Atlanta?
Where are the best schools?

Contemplating a move....Currently live in West Palm Beach Fla. Tired of this state....
Grew up in Houston, but husband won't go there. I love Tx, wouldn't mind moving back.

Austin or Dallas I'm thinking. I've been to both a few times during my college years...but not enough to make a decision as to whether of not I would take up residence there now that I'm an adult w/ a fam. Nice, huge inexpensive homes...better schools than here....wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

What are your thoughts....?
Help.

I saw a news report showing a severe storm hitting St. Louis yesterday but as I am in GA, our local news didn't go into much detail on the report. What happened? Is everyone OK? How many are without power and where? I have friends and family in the area and moving back myself this weekend. I'm just a little worried about everyone.
