I saw a news report showing a severe storm hitting St. Louis yesterday but as I am in GA, our local news didn't go into much detail on the report. What happened? Is everyone OK? How many are without power and where? I have friends and family in the area and moving back myself this weekend. I'm just a little worried about everyone.

This is the worst storm that St. Louis has seen in decades! Approximately 500,000 people without power, National Guard has been brought in, tornado touched down at Jefferson Barracks, etc. The storm stretched 50-60 miles accross.

Oh it is pretty bad. It really depends on where you live. I live in the city (south) and my neighbors tree went through there house. My yard is covered with tree limbs and debree and power lines are down all over my yard. It was really a pretty bad storm. I saw three cars on the way to work with trees on top of them. A friend of mine was at the ball park last night and they watched vendor stands fly around. It was crazy. Over 200,000 people in the whole area and 70,000 just in the city are w/o power. It is going to be 103 today so it is sort of scarry to know so many people are going to be with out air. Good luck with the move.

yeah, it was pretty bad. Everywhere in the metro area. 488,000 people without power. I was on the hill and a tree fell on my car. It's trapped now. There are trees (huge ones) down all over the place. It was probably worst in the city.
