I want to go to Scotland for the New Year but I do not know which area. I was going up Loch Ness way but since have heard that it's not that special.
Can anyone advise of a decent area to go to.
Two conditions apply-I want to go Youth Hostelling with the SYHA and secondly I want to travel by National Express to get there. Oh and a bit of life would be nice.

I live in Brighton, England and a friend of mine is coming over from Canada. Obviously, I'll take her to London for a day, but what other things can you think of?
Having never been to England before, I want her so see as much as possible, while she's here.

I am traveling to London in the spring with my family and we are looking at places to stay. What can anyone tell me about the Camden Lock area? Is it quiet? Are there good places to eat? I know it is near Camden Market so that answers the "shopping" question. We will of course be traveling to central London and beyond but is it too far away from all the sights? Thanks for any help or any info about London at all!
