Simple terms.. Def Leppard, is MAJOR here in the States. Just wondering, why.. the UK dont have the same interest in the music as we do here. Is it just cause the UK just dont get into Rock music? All these British bands have to come here, just to make their dollars... why is that?

Helpful sugestions only. This would be especially helpful if it were from Americans. So far people have said tea, bad teeth, and Austin Powers! :) I need a bit more than this! Thanks in advance.

I already have the plane tickets Marseille (yes, by the way, I'm French!)- Stunsted but I'm still trying to find a hotel or a B&B. We can't spend a fortune on it, not more than 50£ a night. Any good plan, any good adress.
Last question, is there a bus or a train from the airport to the city centre?
Thanks for your help!

So I whould like to know which are the things I shoulded miss.I am Planning on Visiting the Tate modern, the national gallery, the national history museum ,the British museum(for the marbels) and the London eye.The rest of my time I am thinging of walking through the city from Hyde Park to Tower Bridge(Albert hall and memorial,Bakinham palace,Soho, big ben,Oxford street,st Paul church, london tower, city hall).
I would like to ask you if all of these worth speding time on(I have only 3 days) and if you suggest something else?I would also like you to suggest any nice Pubs in the city centre.
I have allready checked any website and cityguides for London and I would like the opinion of people who live the city everyday(they know better).
Thank you in advance.I am looking forward for your answers.

thetrainline.com has columns which are blocked out. I understand these are more likely to be available early on in the booking stage. Has anyone found that even in the later stages, cheaper options are available at the station rather than on the net.

Any more overcrowding than today's rush hours in Piccadilly Line - people are literally packed as sadines in a tin.

What were your impressions? I went just before Christmas six years ago, and had a splendid day. I found the whole place to be illuminating, enlightening, educational, thought-provoking, fun, colourful and no way a waste of tax payers' money. I found it 'did exactly what it said on the tin:' ONE AMAZING DAY, and 20 quid well-spent. How about you?
