you will find must of the information you require on the net. I live in Hove , which is part of Brighton It is a very Cosmopolitan City and compared to other towns or cities in the UK it is very safe. Students from all over the world come to brighton and Hove to study English. Sussex Uni is just outside of brighton in Falmer Brighton is known as a seaside town and there are plenty of statues but its pier is world famous. the city is best known for being a seaside resort - the beach is pepples very little sand and being only 1 Hour from London it becomes extremely busy and very expensive. Forget having a car in brighton or Hove as there is never anywhere to park and has very expensive car parking charges. The bus service is ok and is only cheap if you buy weekly or monthly bus pass. I was Born here and spent most of my life here.

King George 4th.had a magnificently expensive pavilion built there for himself. It was very very extravagant and cost the tax payer a great deal of money. It was sometimes refered to as the pavilion of sex and debauchery as there were lots of "goings on" there. Both as the Prince and as the King George was very wasteful and foolish with money. He borrowed from his `friends` who were afraid not to loan to him, and he never repaid them.
To-day Brighton has become famous for its` foreign students, who attend the numerous and expensive language schools. It is a `back door` way to enter the U.K. on a student visa if they are not clever enough to get a college place, they can stay here then more or less indefinitely as long as they can pay the school fees!
