Simple terms.. Def Leppard, is MAJOR here in the States. Just wondering, why.. the UK dont have the same interest in the music as we do here. Is it just cause the UK just dont get into Rock music? All these British bands have to come here, just to make their dollars... why is that?

Here in the States, Heavy Metal is still big.. we love it! Metal will always be around..well, i hope. I grew up in the 80's, so i'm a big head banger myself. BUT, DL has always been my favorites, even though they have softened. BUT.. you always have to change with the times, if you want to remain in the public eye! So the Leps.. still have my attention.
Further more.. Now i've been to the UK, 5 times... And EVERY time i'm over, all i hear is Techno Music. Whats up with that? Radio One, is usually what i'm listening to. Is there something better?

Def Leppard were big here in the UK about 10-15 years ago, but people just got bored with them. Face it...their music is pretty repetitive and unoriginal.
The fact that they come from Sheffield is irrelevant, why should they be any bigger in their home city than anywhere else ?. Today, people fom Sheffield are more proud of local bands like Pulp, or the Arctic Monkeys ..most of us have forgotten about Def Leppard.
Heavy Metal is very much a minority taste in British music these days, although there is still a smal bunch of devoted fans...I suppose the rest of us just grew out of it.
You're very welcome to keep DL over there if you want, no-one misses them..

Because we have more decorum than you do....and you go wild over Def Leppard because, music wise, you don't have anything else to go wild over!

Def Leppard does have a huge following over here...
