You're a lucky man to be coming to the most exciting city in the world!
Deansgate Locks is a range of bars which is always a good night out. Then there's Castlefield which is quieter and more sophisticated. The Gay Village is brilliant (although it helps if you're gay!) and then there's the Northern Quarter which is very bohemain and cool. If you want a bit more crass, go to the Printworks, and then there's Didbury out of town for a more 'village' vibe. The best curries to be found are in Rusholme, and there's a great Chinatown too.
Your best bet when you arrive is to get City Life, the weekly entertainment guide, and get out there exploring. Enjoy!

Try the Printworks! It has a cinema (complete with IMAX) with a good mix or bars, resturants and clubs including Norwegien Blue, Witherspoons, Nandos, Hard Rock Cafe and an Irish bar that I cant quite remember the name of - all under one roof!

yea go to the printworks its amazin! also try the bottom end of deansgate (this is quite far from the printworks) but its good wit places like brannigans or theres up around piccadilly but printowrks is my fave i love PURE its an amzin club!!!
