i dont want to live anywhere where theres gunna be someone trying to stick a gun in my face and rob me or anything. i'm 21 and like going to good clubs/bars/venues. so where should i move?

First thing of note: I'm an American that lives in the UK courtesy of the US Government, so I don't have a lifetime of experience over here. That being said...
I'm not sure there is a "cheap apartment" over here. However, the closer you are to a major population center, the more expensive it is going to be. So you may want to consider that you'll be doing a lot of commuting for work. Luckily, public transportation over here is very good, so it's not really a major hassle.
And while there is crime, you rarely here of any that involves guns. Most guns are illegal to own and those that aren't are still a pain in the butt to get ahold of. The biggest worry I've ever had is large groups of drunk guys just looking for any reason to fight. But even that is easily avoided if you keep your wits about you.
All in all, if you're seriously thinking about moving over there for a significant amount of time, I'd say the west coast is better than the east (I live near the east). But be sure to do plenty of research about the various regions.

You have to decide which city, in the United Kingdom, you want to live.
