I'm going to visit Europe -primarily Italy and the UK.
I'd like to know what precautions should I take. [i.e.carrying a soap case (so it isn't wet inside my bag), something to wear in the showers to avoid plantal warts (he was serious enough), a knife to cook myself (but to make sure that I don't seem like a terrorist) and to never EVER speak in English to a French.]

I understand that most people use Lo Wu as the cross border from HK to Shenzen but I would like to know other options. Thanks.

my shampoos and conditioners and moisturisers etc are in big heavy cumbersome bottles. i have transferred them into little plain travel sized bottles. if these are packed in my check-in luggage (not carry on) then is this ok, the point being that they are not in their original packaging. i have always done this without a problem, i just can't imagine having to pack the originals, they take up so much room!

I'm going on my first cruise with my family and in the booklet they gave us it says to dress "fancy" in the dining room. No t-shirts, shorts, etc. I get that clothing must be appropriate but I'm wondering exactly how formal one should dress...just so we know what to pack.

Ok, in a couple of weeks I'm going to visit family in Massachusetts for 2 weeks. I just need a little direction from people who have experience with "extended" vacations? I will be able to do laundry at one of my aunt's, but I would say no more than once. I just don't want to over pack like I always do, so if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it.

Can I use those tiny locks people use for their luggage, or should I buy a combination masterlock that people use at gym lockers?

Next year I am going on a 20 day trip around europe. We are going to France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. What should I study up on so I won't look like a tourist and so I will understand everything. Also what should I bring.

I want to buy a tent for my boyfriend for christmas. As they're expensive, I'd like to buy it now and store it. I have seen low priced StormproofUSA tents on ebay and wondered if anyone had one and could tell me what it was like as a brand? I don't want to buy something that's going to fall to pieces. the 9 berth is RRP £250 (apparently) but on sale at approx £45 + p&P.

Anyone??

My wife and I are going on a trip from Florida to Hawaii and I want to know how we should pack. Should we pack a carry on bag? Or are they banning those? Is it only liquids can't be taken on?
