I know how much a passport costs, but how much does it cost if you have the passport agency take it for you? Would it be cheaper to go to the UPS Store?

......and must take everything that I want/need with me when I go, because it is to expensive to have anything shipped. OK, so what should I take with me and what should I leave and buy there? And also, any tips on how to cram (lol) the most in my suitcase would be helpful. Thanks!

Could I take a travel buggy (one which folds up into a small rucksack - specially designed for, and it actually states this on the packaging, "small enough dimensially to be accepted as hand luggage as it comes in it's own rucksack"). ....honestly please..

Last year I went to England with my aunt. She has brothers there and she goes every summer (she's gone every summer for the past five years). This year she went again, but alone. She's planning on going back next summer, and i REALLY want to go. I'll be paying for my own plane ticket...but how do I actually bring it up, without sounding rude or anything? I really want her to invite me!

- for instance, when we are applying for a visa to a country, we don't know if we will get accepted or not and if we have to pay for it upfront, it may be troublesome getting our money back if our visa application is denied; can it be where we can pay for our online ticket purchases only when our visa application is accepted?

I am moving to a new state and had planned to mail most of my clothing. I packed them in two cardboard boxes sealed with packing tape. In one of the boxes is a framed painting. But now, I've decided to just check these two big boxes on the airplane because they are too big and heavy to mail (too expensive). But now I'm worried that if I check them on the plane, will they have to open up the boxes? I'm worried about the painting that is inside one of the boxes--that it will get damaged if someone rummages through my boxes, and also I'm wondering whether they will let me check the boxes on the plane at all. I know that if you have locks on your luggage, they break open the locks, but what about sealed cardboard boxes?

I don't check baggage, so wondering if all you bright minds out there can give me some ideas for items or brands that can be carried on. For example, those face cleanser cloths instead of liquid cleanser, sanitizer wipes instead of gel sanitizer...things along those lines. Is there any shampoo that comes in a bar?

The obvious things that are not allowed... knives, liquids, gels, lotions etc.

What about things like cell phone, blackberry, ipod, camera, laptop? Can we even bring a brief case or a small hand bag? Is it just for those flying from the UK to the US are not allowed to bring these things? (TV showing people coming from the UK carrying clear plastic bags with only passport and wallet). What about flying from the US to international places? Do the rules differ by airport / destination / airline? Maybe it's clear to people, but it seems confusing to us. We're not even sure what to pack anymore.

Has anyone flown over the past few days with experience to share?

Ok.. this isn't about the liquid ban.. just about.. it in general. Last time I went to NYC.. it was fairly expensive to buy pop there... we thought maybe we should bring some with us... but the question is... would it be a good idea to put it in our luggage with our clothes? Has anyone tried this before.. any tips/etc.?

Are you one of those people who get wound up at the check-in desk . What made you angry.. was it because the clerk never smiled at you or because you were late checking in.

I am flying with American Airlines. If they see a tiny pillbox in my bag, will they make me open up my suitcase & show them my medication? If so, will it be okay that they aren't in the bottles with my name on them? I am just bringing enough for my four day trip. I looked all on Americanairlines.com for info. about this & couldn't find anything.
