whether its safe or not...it is not allowed by the airlines....depending on what plane youre on, depends what baggage hold your bag will be put in (on most CONUS flights at least one of the holds are pressurized and temp. controlled for transporting animals and the like. OCONUS flights fly much higher and therefore the pressures applied to your baggage will be much higher (and colder). is this pressure enough to pop your spray can....not likely, but as i said, i believe it is not allowed at any airline.

No, it is a dangerous practice. In event of rapid pressure change, your aerosol can is going to be an exploding bomb that can blow up the plane..Pour the content into pump bottle for your use when you travel by plane.
