Yes. But he or she was very clever at it too! I was flying back from a non-EC country and I brought 400 cigarettes with me to sell in the UK. I left 200 cigs intact and opened the other 200 to get them loose so they don't notice 2 cartons (400 cigs) of cigarettes if they open my suitcase. When I arrived home and opened my suitcase, the little thieves left 200 cigarettes in the suitcase and took the other 200 out. You see, if you come from a non-EC country then there are limits on alcohol, cigarettes, cigars, perfumes and maybe other things and you can only bring 200 cigarettes. By law, I had no right to complain because I was breaking the law...clever, huh?

YES, once i flew to Orlando and the airlines lost one of my bags, when it was returned after several tracking calls and 2 days later they had gone through the bag, opened a card that was in there and taken money out, needless to say i will never fly that carrier again

No I usually fly from Manchester, the baggage handlers there are generally too stoned to bother.

One time after I arrived back in Europe from the u . s . a . i discussed that the lock on my case were opened (yet not damaged) and adjusted to a loop on the fringe of the case so someone were snooping interior yet not something became genuinely taken. My pal had medicine stolen on yet another flight.

I went to Greece and had money plus my make-up bag stolen... I went to Ibiza shortly after that and had money and my phone stolen from my room. Not a good year for holidays!

One guy tried...unfortunately for him, we caught him in the act (we being my brother, my father and I). He tried to deny that he stole anything and walk away down the hotel hallway. We had to pursue him and nearly beat the living s*** out of him to get our stuff back. We did get our things back, but he complained and we had to find a different hotel. The cops never got involved.

Not me personally but when I was attending a boot camp for my Microsoft certifications one of my fellow students packed his laptop in his checked luggage and it was stolen.
