Packing & Preparation

I'm trying to pick my seats online for my flight (By the way, is it just me or does it seem like no matter how early you get your ticket, 3/4 of the plane is already reserved? Anyway...) It has the rows numbered but it doesn't have the seats lettered and I want an aisle. So does the window start as "A", middle "B", then aisle "C"... or is the other way around? Thanks!

This question has two purposes. First, I am just curious because everyone always talks about forgetting to pack various things. Second, I am about to leave the country for a couple weeks and hope that your answers will help me remember what I need to pack - LOL!

I am ALWAYS getting to my destination and realizing that I forgot something. Last time, it was shaving razors and the charger for the camera.

Is it even possible to leave on vacation and not forget to pack something?

How do you deal with money when overseas? Do you get traveler's cheques? Do you bring a wad of cash and exchange it at the airport or a bank upon reaching your destination? Do you use a credit/debit card? Do you carry your money in a money belt? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

We plan on travelling around 4-6 months through Africa and Europe. I'm looking for a durable sandal in addition to boots. Would Keen do the trick?

Well, I was chosen to be apart of the European Tour Group for my school and it's basically a group of about 42 people who go to Paris, Monaco, and Rome and I was wondering how I can cutomize my luggage to tell it apart from everyone else's since it's basic black (and I don't really want to put that little ribbon on it)

I am going on a trip with my boyfriend and he won't tell me where we are going, just that I need a passport. But on the form for a passport, it asks for travel plans. Can i leave it blank, or just make up a destination??

When I fly I like to bring my own bottled water, and with the new flying regulations they limit a lot of water / gel based products. I really dont like the plane water. I never drink it so...

I was wonderiing if you can still bring your own bottled water? Im going to try, no real lost if they ask me to throw it out.

Hi.
Do suggest places that are friendly for nature lovers, suitable for 18 year olds and not too dangerous where English-speaking guides are available. (:

If you've been to some yourself, do share your experience!~

Thanks.

I have just moved to Norway (as north as Alaska), but I am from sunny Texas. I don't wanna freeze! Should I buy wool, cashmere, fur, fleece, leather, Northface shells, etc? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
