I am going on a trip with my boyfriend and he won't tell me where we are going, just that I need a passport. But on the form for a passport, it asks for travel plans. Can i leave it blank, or just make up a destination??

No I am holding a passport application right here and that is not true. However if you are traveling in a short time and need the passport rushed , which when you do (they will try their best, no guarantees kinda thing, but they usually do a good job) anyway if that's the case then you should provide all the info of your trip to show that time is an issue. You must provide
1-proof of US citizenship
2-proof of Identity
3-Two recent (passport fotos) you can get done all over the place just check your yellow pages
4-Fees
'On line 18 it'll ask your travel plans if you want to include them or "should" Like I said if the trip is soon and you need to expedite the passport it is 60$ more so you'd be looking at at least 160$

Good luck! Bon voyage!

No, it not necessary you can apply for a passport just to have one if you wish. I just recently got mine for travel to Canada but didn't put any plans on the application.

Yes, I know you don't need a passport to go to Canada yet. but being a US citizen born in another country it just easier to have my passport and propbably next year passports are going to be required.

You don't have to write anything on there. Just leave it blank - it's fine. I have done that twice already for getting my passport. One in my maiden name and then again just a few months ago after I got married. Leave it blank. it's fine.

You should put in the destination it is part of the application, if you are in doubt you can call the post office that you are going to send them out from the should be able to help you.

Ask your boyfriend to fill out that part of the passport but don't look at it yourself.

You need to say where you are going on the application, and have a copy of you plain tcket. You need to be there to get the application too, so it won't be a supprise for long.
