This question has two purposes. First, I am just curious because everyone always talks about forgetting to pack various things. Second, I am about to leave the country for a couple weeks and hope that your answers will help me remember what I need to pack - LOL!
I am ALWAYS getting to my destination and realizing that I forgot something. Last time, it was shaving razors and the charger for the camera.
Is it even possible to leave on vacation and not forget to pack something?

I think that the worst I have done so far is got to the airport and realized that I left my wallet sitting on my dresser. Luckily, I lived really close to the airport at the time so it was no problem.
Also, that is a good point about stuff you use early in the morning - I have done that before, too (I think that is how I forgot my razors!).

I went all trips at least twice a year. What learned to do trip after trip that usually saved my sanity was to make a list of everything that I would need.. while I'm still calm, and add to it as time progresses and I think of addition things that I forgot to think of the first time. THEN the day before, I use my list as a checklist. I always feel SO much better when I can see that everything on my list has been checked off and that I didn't forget anything. Don't forget sunglasses and hairbrush and the little things that you normally take for granted. If you touch it and will use it while it away, then put in on the list. Have a good trip.

This will NOT apply to you since you're a guy, but most of the time, I forget my shower cap. So if the hotel doesn't provide one, I need to go out and buy one which is no big deal, but then I wind up with several shower caps.
Just be sure you take enough i. d. to get through the airport if you're flying.
Have a good trip.

Always come out with the packing list before any trip and before packing them in, go thru the list again and do a check. You will never forget to bring anything along this way..Be advise Never pack at the last minute, you'll surely forget even your underwears...

Definitely toothpaste and shaving cream. I think I forget both of them because I tend to use them the morning I travel, and then leave them sitting on the bathroom counter as I run out the door lol. Always wind up buying them again, so I've amassed quite a collection of various half-opened tubes of toothpaste and cans of shaving cream.

I have packed and NOT forgot anything on many occasions. The week before you go keep a list of things you used that day such as toothbrush hairbrush phone charger night cream then when your packing go over that list and go over it again when your done packing. It works for me and my husband. Good luck and have fun on vacation.

I seem to forget to pack shampoo. I have the big bottles at home and it doesn't fit in shaving kit and it is out of sight for the most part in the shower caddy in the bathtub.
