Ok.. this isn't about the liquid ban.. just about.. it in general. Last time I went to NYC.. it was fairly expensive to buy pop there... we thought maybe we should bring some with us... but the question is... would it be a good idea to put it in our luggage with our clothes? Has anyone tried this before.. any tips/etc.?

I usually carry a large tote bag besides my suitcase. That's what I use for the food I need, since train food is nasty and expensive.
I also put in whatever I'm reading, water, pop, a jacket or sweater.
I had a bad experience with a juice bottle breaking in my suitcase once, so now I never put anything like that in there.
Have a great trip...but don't pack the pop!

Pop isn't any more expensive in NYC as it is here in Ohio. Depends on where you buy it. Don't go into deli's or buy from street vendors. Just like here, you can get pop cheaper in grocery stores than convienance stores and gas stations. Pop won't go flat being in a suitcase, pop gets flat after it has been opened. I would put it in something waterproof incase it opens, or just pack a separate piece for your pop.

when you say pop I am going to assume that you mean soda. If so, I would not put it with my luggage, because by the time you get to nyc, it will most likely be flat. What you can do is try to find a place in the city or anther area that may sell it.

If you go into the chain drug stores life Duane Reede or CVS it is sometimes 12 pack for $2.99. Like any other place, on the street or in a restaurant it is more.

I always bring my own soda. I do put them in bags first, incase they explode. put them in the center of your suitcase or bag so they do not get bumped. Also, you have to be careful, there are weight limits and the bags can get heavy. have fun!

i would say to pput it in a bag your carring it would make the trip better,and you would have to wash your clothes after they exploded in your bags.
