Could I take a travel buggy (one which folds up into a small rucksack - specially designed for, and it actually states this on the packaging, "small enough dimensially to be accepted as hand luggage as it comes in it's own rucksack"). ....honestly please..

I'm almost positive that you could take that with you on the plane. people bring strollers, etc all the time.

Just remember, no liquids or gels are allowed through security or on the plane, so be sure to bring some empty sippy cups that they can fill for you once you're on, or a powdered formula if they can't use a sippy cup. And pack your liquid makeup in your checked baggage!

Just because the travel buggy manufacturer says it's acceptable as hand luggage doesn't make it so. If you want to ensure something can be taken as hand luggage, check out your airline's website. It should tell you the exact dimensions allowed and whether or not cedrtain items are allowed as hand luggage. Every airline has different requirements.

I flew back into Gatwick last night from Bulgaria and we had no restrictions on hand luggage but on the flight out last week we could only take a clear plastic bag, I saw a lot of buggys being put on the plane on the outward bound from gatwick but into the hold, just stick a lable on your buggy and you won't have a problem either way.

relies upon the place you're vacationing from and the airline. in the united kingdom maximum airways says a million hand bags that could desire to in advantageous condition into the overhead area, then a suitcase as much as 20kg is charged for at around £15, each and each passenger. verify with the airline or whoever you booked the cost tag with.

http://www.tsa.gov/index.shtm Go to that website. It will tell you everything you need to know. Check just before you fly to see if anything has changed. Also, if you are going to a foreign country, their rules may be different. Check with the airlines your are booking through.

Happy travels....and I don't envy you traveling with small children. Good Luck!

To be honest, you need to check with the travel agency with whom you are travelling with as they should be able to give you information on what is acceptable. I know travelling with 2 small children isn't easy, as I struggle myself, but different modes of transport have different acceptances.

I fear you may have to check the kids in as baggage. Children are largely made of liquid and as such present a significant security risk.

Strollers need to be stowed with luggage. If your child is too small to get to gate, you can have the stoller gate checked.

call your airline, they all have different policies. It'll depend on what kind of plane, smaller commuter type planes they usually will make you check everything including the small roll bags.
