Ok, in a couple of weeks I'm going to visit family in Massachusetts for 2 weeks. I just need a little direction from people who have experience with "extended" vacations? I will be able to do laundry at one of my aunt's, but I would say no more than once. I just don't want to over pack like I always do, so if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it.

Plan to dress just a you would at home. Yes I realize Massachusetts is getting cold. But don't take what you would not wear at home.
In a 2 week period you need basically enough for a week. Rotate you clothes. Under ware you change daily, but every thing else can be worn a couple of times during the trip.
And I doubt anyone well say( you just wore that the other day)
Pack items in shoes, buy small travel size things. Toothpaste, deodorant's, shampoo, or any thing else you use on a daily bases.
Pack your bag, then take out half of the things you put in it.
Many items can be wash by hand & hung in shower to dry overnight.
I am in travel, away from home about 20 days a month. And I still only take a small bag, plus a carry on.

Bye the way 2 weeks is not really an extend vacation. Especailly since your visiting family.
Have a wonderful time. Worry about having fun, not looking like a million. It well be cold you well have on coat and sweater, who well see under that when your out.

I totally agree with the other comments. Less is definitely more. Try to pack outfits that you can coordinate with each other so you aren't wearing exactly the same thing all the time (though nearly the same). Ex: a pair of black pants can be worn with 2 different shirts. Focus more on neutral colors (black, navy, brown, etc.). You can pull more outfits out of them. For instance, you can create a whole new outfit by just adding a scarf or vest. Small items like that come in handy when you're having to juggle with a small amount of clothes.

A good rule of thumb is to pack half the amount of clothes and take twice the amount of money that you normally would. Take the clothes that you'll most likely use, taking into account the season of the year. Don't worry so much about bathroom supplies, as you'll be able to buy more if you run out while there.
