I have booked 8 days in spain and 8 days in eastern europe with a few days between in nederlands and germany. Do you think 8 days is too long for the spain portion? Should I skip it and go right to eastern europe? I am the type that likes to move around to new places a lot. I have already booked my airfare, but will cancel if it means enjoying my trip more.

Tell me what you think.

I am leaving december 15th - jan 5th

The Netherlands' official capital city is Amsterdam, though the seat of government, the home of the monarchy, and most foreign embassies are in Den Haag.
I thought that a capital city was the city of a country's administration. How come then that Den Haag is not the capital in the Netherlands?

Since it was decided previously on this site that it is unclear whether Russia is a European or an Asian country, because geographically it leans to Asia, whereas culturally and economically it's more European, here's a question for all of you:

Do you consider ethnic Russians a European people?

A reminder should be made that this group (ethnic Russians) does not include Tatars, Ukrainians, Armenians, Georgians, Belarusians, Chechens, Germans, Kazakhs, and other prominent ethnicities that may inhabit the Russian Federation.

I'm looking for some ideas of a destination for around the last week in January, maybe 7-10 days. Somewhere inexpensive. Last year, I went to Paris and London; London was great but I *loved* Paris. I want to go again but would prefer to try some other places first. Good public transportation is important. Museums and great architecture are important too. Shopping and expensive restaurants not so much. Spending a few days in one city then moving to another is no problem. I'm really big on doing research into my destinations so any suggestions with specifics would be especially appreciated. Thanks!

Would it be worth it for me to pick up some fine Czech crystal and try to resell it in the states. Has anybody ever tried doing something similar and was it worth your time. Thanks, I appreciate the answers.
