"According to ancient Indian Legend, the good spirit 'Yuquiyu' reigned on his mighty mountain-top throne, protecting Puerto Rico and its people."

The El Yunque Rain Forest is a cool, mountainous, subtropical rainforest in Puerto Rico. The Eastern side of the Luquillo Mountains, which has the El Yunque rainforest at the top elevations, gets most of the rain. The winds must rise when they meet the mountains. This rising of the air mass causes the air to cool and release rain on the windward side.

Visiting El Yunque rain forest is only partly in the observation of the varieties of plants that have managed to grow and adapt to the copious amounts of year round rainfall. The magic of El Yunque is in the pristine beauty, the sounds, the quietness and the serenity.

So all the folks here that love nature, hiking and waterfalls this is a must. The rivers and waterfalls formed by all that water rushing back down from El Yunque to the sea are also very beautiful to see, and swim in.

Ok so we booked our excursions ahead of time and we leave in a few weeks - if there is a hurricane like there is now what do we do if we can't go on the excursions?

We're going to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman...

I am a 30 y.o female and my boyfriend and I have been talking about planning a trip to Belize. I was wondering if anyone has gone there before and if so what part is the best? We like relaxing during the day and partying at night. We are a very outgoing couple and like to have a great time. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

As a fan of reggae and dancehall, I would like yahoo to add a reggae and soca section as part of the music catergory. Reason being is because we at times have questions about music, and we are not able to get alot of responses, as would a rap question. Also there has been others who would like to have these sections added as well. Anyway feel free to look at the question. I already sent the request to yahoo. I am just waiting for a response.

Greetings, Trini Posse, and fellow Caribbean people. I come into this forum sometimes to see what's up, or as yall say "de scene." Anyway I would like yall to look at a question that I posted in the music catergory and tell me what you guys think of it.

The reason why this post is here in the Trinidad and Tobago section, is because I notice how alot of people here like or should I say love soca/calyspo music. What I am trying to do basically is to have yahoo! answers consider putting a reggae section, and a calyspo/soca section as another catergory under the music section. I know T&T is known for some of the biggest acts in soca music (Machel, Destra, etc, etc.)

Sometimes we have questions about songs in those genres and we don't get as much responses as someone who would ask about a hip-hop, or r&b song, or sometimes we don't get responses as all.

My boyfriend wants me to pick an island and possibly get married while there. Do we need to get passports to go to the Virgin Islands from the USA and stay a month or so? Will our marraige be valid if we choose to do so here in the states?
