The hurricane season runs through the end of October. So book the cruise after then. Also, you will save a few hundred dollars if you don't pick one specific date to cruise and be flexible on your dates and go when the price is best. She will be just as surprised in October or November as in September.
OR, instead of going to the Caribbean, take a cruise out of Boston or New York to New England and Canada. We did that cruise last year on the Royal Caribbean ship, Jewel of the Seas and it was fantastic. You will then not have to worry much about a hurricane.

We have been on a cruise interior the Caribbean numerous years in the past whilst a hurricane got here up. on the deliver, you does no longer have accepted there became a hurricane if the Captain hadn't come on the PA and as much as date us approximately it. We have been given 2 unfastened extra days at sea, crusing around waiting for the hurricane to pass so we could come into citadel Lauderdale. The seas have been somewhat tough entering FLL, yet in any different case there became no subject.

That is prime hurricane season. If you must go on that date, have comfort knowing that the ships can change course if a tropical storm or hurricane enters the radar area, so you will avoid the worst weather and stay safe. The downside would be that you would miss out on the ports that are affected by the storm, and it will probably still rain on the outskirts, so hanging out poolside won't be much fun. But if you picked a good cruise line, you'll have lots to do onboard.

This Hurricane Season have been predicted to be very intense. I would suggest you to change the dates so you don't have any inconveniences. Even if the cruise change their ports, the conditions of the water are not the best for you to enjoy your trip. It is easier to be seasick with that conditions and you may not enjoy your trip.
