I am thinking of relocating to Australia in the next few years, but I've heard rumors that Aussies are not to fond of South Africans anymore? Is this true? Will we be accepted once we are there? If the rumor is true, care to explain why? (you should feel honored that we love your country so much) Just joking.

I'm an avid scuba diver and am flying to Australia in a few weeks. One of the things I would LOVE to do is go scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef!

Although I love diving I am scared senseless by sharks. Are they something that I'm going to have to be worried about? I would only be going with an established and experienced local divemaster, not with friends or on my own.

It's something I am really worried about. Any thoughts, experiences or advice? Thanks!

Hi,
As much as I enjoy aussie rules and rugby, I'm going to be thoroughly missing baseball and American football when I move to Melbourne in September. Are there any bars in Melbourne that anyone knows of that will show baseball and/or U.S. football? At the very least are there place(s) that might show the World Series in October? I know I'm pushing it but it's literally my biggest fear upon coming to Australia. And I obviously don't care that the games would be early morning.

Thanks a lot.

3 Army soldiers and 1 Marine coming from Iraq and going to Australia for R+R for 2 wks. What city or area should we go to for a good time? We were told The Gold Coast is where we need to go. Is that true? Also if anyone wants to play tour guide and show a couple of good mates around let me know. It would be nice to know a friendly face when we got there so if anyone wants to chat it up just email me.

Hi all,

I would like to hire a car whereas I am 20 and I past my licence last january in France. Old cars are welcomed:) I have already found a place where I can hire a camper (http://www.wickedcampers.com.au/) but the first plan was just a little car which doesn't consum a lot of petrol... I have already checked a lot of websites so every major compagnies don't rent to people of my age in Australia.
So you are my last chance!
Thanks a lot for your answers!

Where they withhold food and medical care to Asians seeking asylum. Even the author of Schindler's List has compared it to Nazi concentration camps.
