I'd like to go to a Hanshin Tigers game. However, it appears that the Tigers are very popular and maybe their games sell out. For the March 30 - April 1: Carp @ Tigers (Osaka Dome) games, how hard will it be to get tickets? Is one day easier to get tickets for than the others in the three game series? How long before the game should we arrive to be able to purchase tickets on game day?

Is there a way to purchase tickets in advance and then pick them up at a will call type window like we could for a game in the U.S.?

I'll be visiting Japan for the first time and I only have 7 days. I want to spend a few days in Tokyo and Kyoto for sure. If I wanted to visit another city, where is a MUST SEE place to go? Because Tokyo is everything a big city offers while Kyoto is the more historical/cultural city, where else???

I am leaving Japan after a week long vacation. Has anyone ever been to Japan? I didn't have to get a Visa because I am only here for a week. They stapled this paper in my passport next to the stamp they put on it. What do they do with that paper when I leave? do you have to go through a bunch of hassle and talk with people at a computer terminal when your leaving the country like you do when you enter? Do they scan that paper they stapled in your passport, or do they just tear it out when you leave? I got hassles and they had to call my friend when I came in to the country because I have an old criminal record (bad checks over four years ago) in the states. Will I get messed with and hassled about that again going out? My friends say I won't that live here, they say they just tear that paper out they stapled in your passport and leave. that's it. Is that true? I just want to know what to expect.
thanks.

Lonely planet travel guides have a lot of written info. Eyewitness travel guides have a lot of pictures. Overall, which publisher does a better job with Japan?

Okay I really want to go to school in Japan next spring so I am learning Japanese. I know that you have to be fluent (which is understandable), but what level do foreigners have to be in order to get into a university?

Also, what is the easiest way of learning Kanji? how do you remember the correct stroke order? with practice? or is there some sort of trick?

Thank you :)
