...For a travel destination in South Africa? We often propagate the Kruger Park, Cape Town and it's winelands, the beaches of KZN, Gold Reef City...things like that. But do you know of a really awesome place to go in South (or southern) Africa that is not in the general limelight? Please, tell me your secret - I know you have one...

This gem from South African Deputy Foreign Minister Aziz Pahad: "South Africa will not be put off its policy of quiet diplomacy towards Zimbabwe by foreign critics, and will continue to try to bring the two Zimbabwean sides together in a dialogue."

Is this before or after opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai comes out of the hospital, after the brutal beating administered to him by thugs of South African ally Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF ruling party?

The shape of things to come South Africa?

Over the last few weeks I have seen genuine holiday makers ask questions on Yahoo Answers and the feedback they get is don't worry cause you'll get murdered / raped / robbed or may be all 3. Please can I ask you guys in your oipinion how can the situation change? Who can make improvements? Would it be enough if the people wanted to change it? This is genuine personal interest. Please don't slam me for asking :)

My 11 year old daughter is desperate to go to South Africa with her school on their netball and hockey tour. I went to the meeting a couple of nights ago and I would love for her to go as it is a fantastic opportunity for her and it looks absolutely beautiful.

I am worried because of her age and just want some opinions as to what it is like there - she has been abroad with family but never abroad on her own.

They are flying to Cape Town, and staying in Stallenbosch overnight, then Kynasa overnight then onto, Port Elizabeth then flying to Johannesburg to go out to Pilanesburg National Park to hopefully see the big 5, Sun City for the day and then onto a theme park - playing hockey and netball along the way before coming back home.

Do the places she will be visiting all seem good for her school to go to?

I would really appreciate some input from people who know the areas well just to put my mind at ease. Thank you
