laterly i've been thinking how cool it would be to just buy a ticket to someplace like australia, or england, and just fly there and see what happens. but it would be for an unknown time and everything. have you or anybody you know ever done this? if so, does it work? or just what what was your or their experience like?

To most Americans, the word "yank" is a derogatory term. Personally, I don't care.

THanks. Or if you are a NEw yorker, what would you recommend that is safe, especially a 21 year old female to travel to campus in NYU and back with out worry. Thanks

- They have exclusive use of the airport but made us walk through the rain instead of through the tube
- Always late
- Run by a corrupt Marcos cronie, just as big a thief as Marcos himself

Does anyone have any suggestions for other viewing locations for the Ball drop in Times Square for new years?

ya know, like knowing the right people in some of the surronding buildings in the area that has perfect views of the action WITHOUT being in the packed crowds or putting up with the police.

I have found a lot of other questions here and there expressing worries about whether China is ready for this huge international activities held in Beijing next year. This is a question to those who are currently living in Beijing and know Beijing very well or have been to Beijing like myself for many times, please tell me your opinions.

For those who have never been to China nor who have never been to Asia, I would not take your answers serious and certainly would not pick any of it as best answer. By the way, if you want to express that you have already decided to boycott Beijing Olympics, that's fine too, you have the right to do it, but it has nothing to do with this question, you can't stop the others looking forward to it.

and complain about how there is not any plant life or worse waste water on watering their lawn or what not? I am not a genius, however I know this is the desert and water is scarce in this environment. Lake Mead is drying up due to these idiots and I think the water could be used for something better, such as drinking water. I personally think there should be a local tax placed on how much water usage a person does, if it is not already put in place. This will become a crisis if left unchecked.

I want to do an internship in NYC, but I am not from there and the internship would be unpaid and they offer no housing or etc. Any advice? Because I REALLY want to do it, but I am just not sure of how to handle living expenses and figuring out a place to live and travel costs, etc.

About 20% of Israels population is Muslim/Arab.

And Israel is a democracy where there is equal rights for all people.

So by logic Israel must have a Muslim leader about 1/5 of the time.
