and complain about how there is not any plant life or worse waste water on watering their lawn or what not? I am not a genius, however I know this is the desert and water is scarce in this environment. Lake Mead is drying up due to these idiots and I think the water could be used for something better, such as drinking water. I personally think there should be a local tax placed on how much water usage a person does, if it is not already put in place. This will become a crisis if left unchecked.

How can I get people to convert away from their stupidity of their ways?

I am not saying those who come here to live are idiots. To do so would mean me calling myself an idiot. I mean people who built up circle village center village and constantly waste water to keep the landscape green is stupidity. People who waste waste constantly just to have a lush lawn when in the very near future it will result in a water shortage crisis and many will suffer due to these few. These are the people I am calling idiots.

I recently moved here myself for employment. I think it was a good move. Thus people who come here to live are not idiots, just the ones who can't leave well enough alone are.

I've been here for 25 years. I live in Paradise Township. When I got here there were less than ten thousand people in Henderson. I could get from my home to the Strip in less than 15 minutes. But, the biggest thing which bugs me is people who've lived here less than ten years, have come from states where they lived under "nanny governments", and want to layer on the laws of Nevada that which they escaped from.
BTW, my water charges are "tiered" for usage. Above a certain level of use, the rate per thousand gallons increases. I water my property between 2 AM and 5 AM, in three segments of four minutes per station and at 2AM, 3:15 AM and 4:30 AM.
Now why in hell should I have to give up my landscaping and sod lawn because some city and county planners allowed the issuance of permits for so many more residential areas without considering the consequences?

There's plant life if you want to grow plants, and new homes aren't built with lawns, just desert landscaping, so newcomers are welcome.
