I've never had a problem carrying mine on. I think even when the rule about carrying liquids on planes, inhalers were exempt.

yes they are allowed to be carried with you to the plane but you need a subscription or recommendation from your pediatrician to have your inhaler permitted for you to bring them in the plane.
