I want to do an internship in NYC, but I am not from there and the internship would be unpaid and they offer no housing or etc. Any advice? Because I REALLY want to do it, but I am just not sure of how to handle living expenses and figuring out a place to live and travel costs, etc.

Before anything, you need to take a look at your financial status as of when you want to start the internship. (will you be able to cover rent/food/travel costs- no matter if you'll be sharing a room, you will still need some type of $$ for your necessities...atleast to start with.) If the answer is yes, and
If you're really willing to do it, find a way to get in touch with other interns in that company, considering you've already got the internship- and see if they are out of towners too- then you guys can rent a space for the time you need.

NYC is quite expensive. You might want ot see if you can find an apartment in NJ. But of course then you wll have commuting expenses. I would cnontact your sponsor and see if they can provide you with advise. i am sure you are not the first intern and others must have been faced with a similar situation. I think you will find NYC to be an exceptional experience! Hope this helps. Good luck.
