My husband and I do not have a great deal of money and are stuck in the middle of the midwest. We've been to WI Dells, Chicago, St. Louis, etc... but would love to get AWAY. No kids, small budget. We're not into gambling so don't really care to go to Vegas. Any other ideas? Where have you gone on a mini-vacation with little money?

Thanks!

My wife and I are trying to choose a vacation destination that offers the chance to be active: hiking, sea kayaking, snorkeling or scuba intro. Later on we'd like to be pampered: sunning on the beach, great restaurants, resort/spa, maybe a casino, etc.

We don't mind if it takes two locations (fairly close together) to fit the bill. I do want to watch airfares... I'd rather spend the money on a fancier resort than on plane tickets.

I'm currently leaning toward Caribbean (Dominica and San Juan), but other Caribbean destinations or even Mexico or Hawaii might be good.

One more thing, icing on the cake: the chance to be alone together under a waterfall (wink, wink) would be nice bonus for our 15th Anniversary.

What would you recommend?

Just wondering if there were any male strip clubs for women? Me and my friends want to go to one when we visit, but we would much rather watch men than women. :)

Which one do you like better? I've been to Yellowstone National Park , but not Yosemitte. Now, me and my husband are planning to go to Yosemite and I was just wondering if it's any different that Yellowstone. Also, is end of May a good time to go there?

At the end of Feb., a few of my girlfriends and I are going to Montreal for a week! :) So excited.... Anyways, there were just a few random things I was wondering about and so hopefully someone can help me out a little bit?

First off (and this is probably really stupid), are there fast-food restaurants in Montreal? Like....McDonalds or Pizza Hut or anything like that?

Secondly, how much is gas running these days up there?

Third, none of us know any French whatsoever. Is this something we should maybe look into....like perhaps learn a few key phrases? And if so, which ones???

And lastly, are things (food, clothing, etc) more expensive than in America? We understand the conversion rate of the dollar, but are prices generally the same?

How are the people? What is there to see? I might be going to Sydney, Adelaide, and Cairns this summer to study abroad, so I am curious to find out more about the places from people who have actually been or live there.

My boyfriend says computers, or like wavy things on computers or tv make him homesick.
I don't ever think I've been homesick.

What sorts of things would I feel if I was ever homesick?
