How are the people? What is there to see? I might be going to Sydney, Adelaide, and Cairns this summer to study abroad, so I am curious to find out more about the places from people who have actually been or live there.

Cairns is an absolute must see. The climate is tropical along the coast, but if you take a 1hour train trip up to Kurander markets, its in a rainforrest. There you can buy all kinds of hippy-fair, try all kinds of local made produce and go bungy jumping.
Also 1 hour north of Cairns is Port douglas, a beautiful resort style town full of gorgeous people and fabulous restaurants.
The best thing to do would have to be a trip to the reef by catamaran, where you can swim, snorkel or just sunbake.
The people in Cairns are very relaxed and laid back, and friendly.
Oh I wish I was there now!

Adelaide is known as the city of churches because we have so many churches here. It is very easy to travel through, lots of great locations to check out too. People are friendly. Summer gets quite hot in Adelaide with an average of 35C-42C
