I live in Georgia. Trying to decide on where to go for Labor Day weekend. I was thinking I could drive to Florida for the beaches, but then isn't it Hurricane season right now? I'm trying to stay on a low budget and I definitely want to go out of town. Maybe somewhere else in GA too if there's any great place I guess. I'm willing to drive anywhere that'll only take 12 hours at the most to get there. Maybe a roadtrip? Gas is way too expensive though to be planning on driving only for a whole week. I want to go somewhere with great scenery, things to do in the daytime, nice night clubs, a beach would be nice but I'd be okay with a Motel with a pool... haha...

Is Austin really as liberal as it's made out to be?

I'm considering moving to Austin from Los Angeles, to take advantage of the lower cost of living and family-oriented environment. However, I'm really concerned that, despite it's reputation for being a liberal college town, that it still is quite conservative comparted to L.A. For example, will we stick out if we don't go to church every Sunday? Will my kids definitely grow up to have thick Texas accents? Is there a growing dislike for Californians given the recent migration wave into Austin? Any other negatives I should be aware of? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have to go out of town for a few days, need to find a hotel that won't charge me untill after I've checked out

I just found out today that I need to go out of town for 2 days (starting tomorrow). Now, this is no problem for me aside from booking a hotel. I don't have enough money in my account right now to pay for both the hotel and other things i may need while out of town (such as food, gas, etc.) But I do get my paycheck Direct Deposited on Friday, so I will have the money when it comes time to check out. I need to find a hotel that will charge me either after I check out on Friday (preferably), or just one day at a time. Do any hotels do this? If so, do you know which ones?

Anyone taken the Backstage Magic tour at WDW? Is it worth the time/money?

I'm a big disney fan (even got married in WDW), so it seems awesome! But $200 per person is a lot of $$ I'm not sure what you do on the tour, so any insight would be great.

Is Calgary the only city in Canada that has "street direction" as part of the address?

Calgary, Alberta, Canada has "street direction" as a part of the address. For example, the address "934 2nd Avenue NW" includes the "NW" part, which is intended to show which quadrant of the city the address is in. Are there any other cities in Canada that use this type of system?

I'm going to be in San Francisco this Thurs to Sat night. What good goth clubs, regular dance clubs are there?

I'll be there 8/17-8/19. Three nights I plan to spend dancing! I'm staying close to Chinatown. I've found the night 1984, Die Maschinen, DNA Lounge and House of Voodoo so far. What else is good? I like trance also so anything like that is cool.
