Anytime is a good time to go but the weather will be a bit more tolerable for us Brits during Sept. Enjoy your holiday. Stay Lucky

This is a terrific time to visit Orlando. Kids are back in school, so the crowds are by far much less. Also, Sept. 11th tends to scare a lot of passengers away from flying or traveling in general. As sad as the whole thing is, the crowds will be much less for your visit.
The weather is also nicer this time of year. Still plenty warm but not the kind of heat and humidity combo that will knock you over in say, June or July.

Just be sure to visit any park -- Disney or Universal on a weekday. Weekends can still be croweded with locals who have season passes and take the kids.

Yes it is a good time!.. kids are back in school so the parks won't be too flooded with them! Lines shouldn't be too bad either!

I have an annual pass. My favorite time to go to the parks is between September and May. The weather may be a little warm still but at least it isn't blazing!!

Disney is great. Universal has a lot to offer the ride thrill seeker. I have an annual pass there too, but prefer Disney. You can probably do Universal in a day, two if you want to take your time. I would suggest the Express Pass at Universal. It costs $15 in addition to your admission, but at least you'll get to ride everything!

it's a very good time to go, there aren't many kids around because they have all just got back into school and it's hard for a parent to take a kid out of school the first few weeks, plus how can a kid miss his first day of classes. Anyway, it is a good time to go since there will be plenty of discounts to use. I think that the universal hotels actually have the best deals for staying and with a free car rental and kids eat free, not that far from disney. Though it's not like staying in the magic ;-) hope that helps

I will be there on the 17th! I love Sept. in Orlando. I went last year at the same time. It is still hot, but no where near like it is in July and August.

The crowds are not as big because most of the kids are back in school. When my friends saw my pics from last year, they asked if I had rented out the park privately. I didn't understand what they were talking about until they said they noticed that there were no crowds in the background of my photos!

Have a Magical Time!!!

You are going at a very good time. September and October are the best times of years to go to Disney because kids are back in school. The parks aren't very crowded so the waits for rides aren't near as bad as during the summer.

There won't be tons of crowds at the attractions so from that stand point, it is a good time. However, September is still hurricane season and if you're not used to hurricanes, that would be a drawback. On the other hand, you'll have plenty of warning if one is going to come as far inland as Orlando if it ends up that evacuation is necessary. The temperatures will be nice at that point too.

That is normally the best time to go to Disney. The parks are not packed from March - May & then from August - November.

Anytime is a good time to go to Walt Disney World!...

Forget about Universal Studios, it's not worth it at all.
