Well, for the most part, people everywhere are pretty much the same. They go to work, they have kids, they try to support their family and spend time together. In most aspects of lief you will find them very much the same however, there are some cultural differences. Egyptians tend to build up not out due to land availability and value. Egyptians tend to have very close family and community connections more so than americans. Egyptians tend to seperate sexes so if they go to visit someone the women will sit in one room with other women and men in another room with other men. For egyptians the main priority in life is generally to take care of your family. They are friendlier than americans for the most part and they love food. They will feed you like crazy if given the chance. Seriously it would take books to write down every single difference but these are the main things I've noticed. I'm an American married to an Egyptian, I have Egyptian citizenship and have lived there for a short time.

I highly respect the answer above mine (Cassandra S), as the answerer has more experience than me about Egypt (I haven't lived there, I have just visited the country and I also have some Egyptian friends), but I have to add something. According to my experience, not all of them separate sexes when you go for a visit or in similar occasions. As far as I can see, they are not so strict about that. Even if the majority separates men and women during home visits, there is a certain amount of people who don't.
