I live in London which is such a fabulous metropolis< but find Paris just fabulous for it's beauty and history, food and wine, great explorations in non tourist areas and the transport system.
I will never tire of walking down small streets, smelling the food being cooked, peeking into cafes, and listening to the gossip of locals.
Sure the tourist ares are there, but it's the out of the way places I love, which truly demonstrate the essence of such a great city.

Well since I haven't been all over the world I'll just have to go with one I know really well and that's the city where I was born, SF. NY, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Edinburgh are all fascinating places, too. But my heart still belongs to SF (ok, to be corny, I left it there!!).

my favourite city in the whole world has to be Amsterdam.. The people are so friendly and laid back and I love the culture as well.. there is so much more to Amsterdam than the coffee shops you just have to open your mind to it that's all..

Champerey, Switzerland - The most gorgeous place I have ever been. Wonderful people, breathtaking landscape and a world away from anything in the USA.

Salzburg. I've been to New York, Toronto, Paris, London, Berlin, Rome, but Salzburg has beautiful sounds as well as sites.
